Bird Surveys

Extensive surveying of the zone to understand how seabirds use the area has commenced with both aerial surveys and monthly boat based surveys taking place. This programme, which will last for two years, is being delivered by consultancies PMSS and ESS utilising local specialists and a vessel based in Poole. The survey techniques have been adopted following consultation with Natural England and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
