Eneco invite public to offshore wind park information days

A series of public information days designed to help the public find out more about a proposed offshore wind park, which will provide enough renewable power for between 615,000 and 820,000 homes, are being held by Eneco from 16th to 31st March.
The general public will have an opportunity to hear more about the Zone Appraisal and Planning (ZAP) process which helped decide the proposed location of the wind park recently announced by the company. This area is situated approximately 8.2 miles (13.2km) away from Peveril Point in Swanage, 10.2 miles (16.4km) from Bournemouth and 8.4 (13.5km) south west of The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
The public information days will be held between 16th and 31st March at the following locations, due to popular demand a further day has been announced for New Milton:
- 16th March (2pm to 8pm) – Pavilion Theatre, Weymouth
- 17th March (2pm to 8pm) – The Lifeboat College, Poole
- 23rd March (2pm to 8pm) – Quay Arts Centre, Newport, Isle of Wight
- 24th March (2pm to 8pm) – Lymington Community Centre, Lymington
- 25th March (2pm to 8pm) – Regent Centre, Christchurch
- 29th March (2pm to 8pm) – New Milton Memorial Centre, New Milton
- 30th March (2pm to 8pm) – Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth
- 31st March (2pm to 8pm) – The Mowlem Theatre, Swanage
