Education
Since 2011, Navitus Bay has run an education programme with local school children of all ages looking at the role of renewable energy in combating climate change. It has contacted over 170 local schools in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight offering an opportunity for CREATE, an independent energy education charity, to host interactive educational workshops.
These sessions aim to teach young people about climate change, energy efficiency and renewables. Activities range from wind and solar testing, to neighbourhood role-play in relation to renewable energy projects. Nearly 500 pupils on the South Coast and Isle of Wight have taken part in these workshops.
If you are a teacher and interested in receiving an workshop, please contact 0800 008 6763 (9am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday).
