Navitus Bay has today revealed the location for the onshore underground cable route that would transfer the power generated offshore from the proposed Navitus Bay Wind Park into the national grid, providing clean energy for up to 820,000 homes across the UK.
The marine license application for a meteorological mast to be erected close to the proposed Navitus Bay Wind Park development area has been approved by the Marine Management Organisation (MMO). The meteorological mast will collect reliable and representative wind data, which will be used to inform the design of the wind park and provide estimates of the energy it could produce.
Navitus Bay Development Limited is offering local businesses the chance to attend a series of free workshops and presentations to provide information on the supply chain for the proposed offshore wind park.
